  • Sweetener of choice: Maple syrup, honey, or sugar
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg: (Optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1.  Steep chai tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes, or according to tea instructions. Remove tea bags.
  2. Make the espresso: Brew your espresso shots.
  3.  Add your preferred sweetener to the chai tea and stir.
  4. Pour espresso into a large mug. Slowly add the chai tea mixture.
  5. Steam or froth the milk until hot and foamy.
  6. Pour frothed milk over the espresso and chai mixture. Leave some room for a layer of foam.
  7. Sprinkle a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.

Tips:

  • Make it iced: Brew the chai tea concentrate stronger, cool, and pour over ice with the espresso and cold milk.
  • Milk choices: Experiment with different milk types (oat milk, almond milk, etc.)
  • Chai concentrate: Save time by using a store-bought concentrate like Oregon Chai or Tazo.
  • Homemade chai blend: For the ultimate chai experience, create your spice mix with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black peppercorns.
