Dirty Chai Latte

Experience the best of both worlds with a dirty chai latte. Savour the rich espresso merged with exotic chai spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 -2 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 -2 shots of espresso: (Or substitute with strong coffee)
  • ½ cup milk
  • Sweetener of choice: Maple syrup, honey, or sugar
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg: (Optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Steep chai tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes, or according to tea instructions. Remove tea bags.
  2. Make the espresso: Brew your espresso shots.
  3.  Add your preferred sweetener to the chai tea and stir.
  4. Pour espresso into a large mug. Slowly add the chai tea mixture.
  5. Steam or froth the milk until hot and foamy.
  6. Pour frothed milk over the espresso and chai mixture. Leave some room for a layer of foam.
  7. Sprinkle a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg [optional]
