Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh is best!)
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine all the dried herbs, onion powder, pepper flakes, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
- Add the minced garlic and olive oil.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- If using Parmesan cheese, stir it in at the end.
- Serve immediately with warm bread for dipping.
Tips:
- You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your desired spice level.
- If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder instead. However, fresh garlic will give the oil a much brighter flavor.
- Let the oil sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- The oil can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
