If you’ve ever dined at the popular Italian-American restaurant, you know how addictive their warm, flavorful bread dipped in herb-infused oil can be. Now, with just a few simple ingredients and some easy steps, you can recreate this delicious dish right in your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh is best!)
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the dried herbs, onion powder, pepper flakes, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
  2. Add the minced garlic and olive oil.
  3. Stir everything together until well combined.
  4. If using Parmesan cheese, stir it in at the end.
  5. Serve immediately with warm bread for dipping.

Tips:

  • You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your desired spice level.
  • If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder instead. However, fresh garlic will give the oil a much brighter flavor.
  • Let the oil sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • The oil can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
