How To Make Oatmeal In The Microwave

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water or milk (or a mix of both)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh fruit, nuts, honey, cinnamon, etc.

Instructions
 

  • Mix the rolled oats, water or milk, and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent it from boiling over.
  • Carefully remove the bowl (it might be hot!) and stir the oatmeal well. If it’s too thick, add a bit more liquid and microwave for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Once it’s at your desired consistency, add your favourite toppings like fresh fruit, nuts, honey, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
