Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz triple sec (optional)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (or to taste)
  • Sugar (for rimming the glass)
  • Lemon wedge (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Rim the edge of a shot glass with a lemon wedge, then dip it in sugar to coat the rim.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and triple sec (if using).
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until the mixture is chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared shot glass.
  5. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
