- 1 pound beef brisket, cut into small pieces
- 1 large Korean radish (or daikon), peeled and sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 7 cups water
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (or soup soy sauce)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced thinly
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Prepare the Beef and Radish:
In a large pot, add the beef pieces and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced radish. Cook for about 15 minutes.
Add the minced garlic, fish sauce, and kosher salt to the pot. Simmer for another 25 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
