Traditional Italian spaghetti Bolognese is a popular dish loved for its rich taste and comforting feel. Originating from Bologna, it’s a classic pasta with a meat sauce simmered and served with perfectly cooked spaghetti, showcasing Italian cooking.
Ingredients:
450 grams spaghetti, boiled and drained
100 grams parmesan cheese
Bolognese Sauce:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
I carrot, peeled and diced
20-centimetre stalks celery, finely sliced
360 grams of minced meat
1 teaspoon salt
250 millilitres of dry white wine
250 milliliters fresh milk
¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
450 milliliters of tomato sauce
Directions
Heat butter and olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Sauté onions, carrots, and celery.
Stir for 7 minutes until they are soft.
Add minced meat and press until it becomes small chunks—season with salt. Stir again for 3 minutes until the meat colour changes. Add wine.
Replace the pan lid and reduce the heat. Leave it for 4 minutes. Remove the pan lid and add milk and nutmeg powder. Stir. Replace the lid again. Leave it for 4 minutes.
Add tomato sauce and stir well until done. Remove from the heat.
Serve with spaghetti
